I don't think that it's an understatement when I saw that I really do love that show Boardwalk Empire. I just hadn't been able to love another drama series like it since back when the Sopranoes was on and that seemed like it was ages ago. So needless to say I'm very excited for the new season of the show to be coming on this fall.

After all, I guess that all of the drama and misery for the characters are really what's so important. I'm really rooting for Bucky. Once all the gifts are opened and the treats eaten, there is one major hurdle left to the holiday season, and that is getting the kids ready to go back to school after the long break.

Our kids know school is approaching when the Christmas tree comes down and the holiday decorations have been hauled back out to storage. This is their sign to start hunting for the back pack that was stuffed under the bed and hand over the notes from school that were supposed to be viewed back in December. Right after New Years we start moving bed time back to the normal school night time, to make sure the kids are used to going to bed and getting up earlier and gathering the hats, mittens, and snow pants that will be required for them to play outside at recess. This is the most challenging part as there are too many new toys to play with to go to sleep and all of the winter gear has mysteriously disappeared. Everyone has to be reminded to turn off all the lights, set the All Home Security home security alarm and lock the door on the way out and to come straight home after school.

We love having the kids home for the holidays, but once quiet has returned to our house, all seems right with the world.

To help your children achieve their full genetic height potential they should be fed plenty of protein, fruit, vegetables and calcium (milk or certain vegetables) to insure muscle and bone growth. Grains and starches are used by the body for energy, not for growth, and should be kept to a minimum as needed for their activity level.

Watch their weight. They should be of "average" healthy weight. Too little weight and their body goes into emergency mode, sacrificing height for survival. Too much weight and their body gets "weighed down," their metabolism slows and so does growth in height.

Also, excess weight causes earlier puberty, and puberty triggers the mechanism that eventually shuts down growth. Excessive thinness can delay puberty, but the damage done to bone and muscle prevents the extra growth.

They should be fit but not physically stressed. Too little exercise or too much both delay or shut down growth.

The awesome thing about this is the same things that enhance growth are also just plain healthy.

There is also a health factor. If a kid gets sick right when their body is about to go into a growth spurt it can delay or cancel that growth spurt. So keep your kids vaccinated so they don't get sick with unnecessary illnesses. A healthy diet (as mentioned above) will help with their general health.

No one can guarantee your children who are 6' tall (unless you go to a fertility clinic and get sperm from a person who is 6' tall or taller and raise them as your own), but all of these factors will increase the chances of taller children.

STEPS:

Sable Brushes

Mix lukewarm water with a drop of your chosen cleanser and swish it. Swish your brush through the foamy water and then dump the water out. Keep making a new mix and swishing the brush through it until the water no longer gets discolored.
Rinse the brush gently under softly flowing water. It is also ok to swish the brush through plain water in a separate cup.
If the brush is thick, gently squeeze it between a folded lint-free cloth.
Place the brush on a level surface to air dry, making sure the bristles hang freely over the edge.
Nylon Brushes

Wet the brush and take a dollop of your chosen cleanser and gently work your cleanser into the bristles with your fingers. Do not rub up the shaft of the bristles, either go down repeatedly or gently rub from side to side
Rinse under softly flowing water
If the nylon brush is thick, it is ok to squeeze it between the folds of a lint-free cloth.
Place the brush on a level surface with the bristles hanging freely over the edge.

Tips

If you don't know what sort of brush you have, poke the brush into a small drop of water. Nylon brushes do not absorb very well, which is why they're preferred for liquid makeup. A sable brush will pick the water right up.
If it's possible, brushes love to be hung up so bristles point to the floor.
If you are in a hurry, makeup remover wipes can be used as a quick way to clean brushes, but the wipes will not work as well as a good washing.

Dinuguan or blood stew is a favorite dish in the Philippines. One of the religious groups though over there called Iglesia ni Cristo condemns this to be consumed as it states in the bible that God prohibits to consume blood for it symbolizes life. One of the main ingredients of dinuguan is the blood of the pig. Filipinos in the past have eaten this dish with rice but some enjoy eating it with puto which is a rice cake that has been fermented. Here is the recipe for the Filipino dish known as Dinuguan or Blood Stew!

These are the ingredients that you need to have and how they should be prepared prior to cooking.

8 oz of pig's blood
8 oz of pork chopped into small cubes
3 cloves of garlic that has been crushed
1 medium onion that has been chopped into small pieces
3 peas in a pod
1 cup of water
1/8 to ¼ cup of vinegar depending on how much of a sour taste you want
4 tbsp of fish sauce
½ tsp of salt

Now that you have all your ingredients ready and prepared, let us go into the actual cooking.

1. Next you will want to preheat a pan. After you have done that, add in the crushed garlic. Saute the garlic and you will know it is finished when it turns a golden brown color.
3. When you are finished with that, add in the onions and saute those as well for a couple of minutes with the garlic that is already in the pan.
4. Next saute the 8 oz of pork for a couple of minutes. When you have done that, add in the 1 cup of water, your desired amount for the vinegar and the peas in a pod. Let everything simmer for about 10 minutes.
5. After that time has passed, put in the ½ tsp of salt, the 4 tbsp of fish sauce and the 8 oz of pig's blood to the pan. Let everything simmer for another 10 minutes.

That is it! You are done! It is ready to be served. This recipe makes 4 to 5 servings. Some people might think it is exotic to eat because it contains the blood of the pig. So if that is what you are looking for, then I would like you to try out this recipe. It is delicious. It's not for everyone though and I understand that. Anyway, happy eating!

You can mix it with a little olive oil to spread it onto your scalp, or you can use it straight from the tube... but some have gotten a slight headache from using it straight.It it is gentle enough to use on your most sensitive area, you know it can't hurt your scalp.

I am so lazy today.hehehe. Did not fold the clothes yet.Did not wash the dirty clothes yet.Did not change the bedding yet.hehehe..so so lazy.i don't know why.Maybe because of the weather coz it's kinda dark outside.So what i did the whole time is chatting with my family,watching tv, eating and sleep.hehehe.My husband ask me if i'm sick or what.LOL. I said no!am not, am just lazy.hehehe.He said crazy.LOL.But i promised him though that i'll do it tomorrow.hehehe
